Wright-Austin Model 300 Series-AC
Cast Iron Float Style Drain Traps
ARCHIVE PAGE ONLY — Effective January 2019 the Model 350 has been discontinued
“Three traps in one” is the basic principle of these ball float traps. Three valves open and close progressively as condensate volume varies.
As the float chamber water level rises, the float lies deep in the water until its buoyancy overcomes the opposing line pressure and snaps the valve wide open. When closing, as each valve approaches its seat, the line pressure snaps it tightly closed. These traps have cast iron bodies and stainless or copper internal parts.
A small amount of water remains within the trap, creating a liquid seal and keeping the valve closed tight. If installed where freezing can occur, order with a 100 watt, 120 volt heating element (P/N 9014D).
